The old lock your keys in the car trick

... but not to worry, it was a productive experience as the car was warming up throughout the entire extravaganza.

To start from the beginning, I was bored and needed something to do, so I thought I would go spend my $25 gift certificate to Target. With the new storm that had rolled through last night, I figured I would warm up the car first. I routinely warm up my car every morning that I go to work, so I am familiar with the concept of not locking it once you start it, just in case you were wondering.

So after 5 min I went out to leave and that is when I discovered what I had done. So first thought would be a spare or hide-a-key right?? Well not so much help when the only other key I have is also...in the car. So I went back inside to get the expertise of my sister Shannon, knowing she had done this with her old subaru, although hers wasn't running.

So we rounded up the necessary tools to break into my car: A metal hanger, something to wedge the glass, and a sock to cushion our wedging device-which we never ended up using. I had mentioned to Shannon that maybe we should call the cops, that way if we couldn't get it opened they would already be on the way. Of course Shannon thought that idea was silly and was determined that between the two of us, the task would get done quickly.

After an hour of wedging the window, bending and rebending the hanger, trying multiple angles with the hanger as well as both driver and passenger windows, neighbors driving by, Grandma Bell investigating the situation on a drive-by, freezing fingers, lots of laughs, and snot dripping from my nose, it was time to call the troops in.

After 2 min maybe the officer had my car opened and I was on my way to Target, feeling a bit silly to put it lightly. Needless to say, I was at least grateful that it was on my day off when I could laugh about it!

Made my way into the wonderful world of blogging.

After much deliberation, heart felt thought, and soul searching, I have finally decided that I am ready, that the world is ready, for me. For Rachael Williams Finch the first.

I'll be honest. I don't know that I will have much to say on this blog, this virtual notebook. But I figured why not start somewhere, I must have something to say about something.

So here is a little bit about me and my life which is to say my family. I am 24 years of age, I currently work for Dr. Lloyd in Lehi, UT as a dental hygienist. 2.5 years ago I married my best friend Tyler Finch. We moved to Idaho where I finished up school. We have two dogs. Coal Burn Black Bear (Coal) and Mr. Gusstuvson. (Guss) Guss has three legs. Coal has four. We have since moved back to the mecca, happy valley usa from Idaho. Where we both work and live and are.

Tyler and I spend our free time doing a plothora of things. Mostly we enjoy being outside. together. with our dogs. I plan to fill this blog with the random things that are the happenings of my/our everyday life. It might take a little cohearcing to get me to post, but I assure you, with the help of my amazingly wonderful talented beautiful sister in law shannon, I am sure to find success and everlasting happiness.
