Say Cheese :)
Lately I have really been trying to get some pics of Zoe smiling. It is pretty hard, it is like she knows and won't do it when I have a camera near by. Here is the closest I have got, plus a few other cute faces she pulls.

A Day of First's
Sunday was my first mother's day, my first run after having Zoe, and her first month birthday.
My first mother's day was great. For the first part of the morning, all 3 of us just hung out being lazy in bed. I was lucky enough to get Tyler to stay home from turkey hunting, and spend the day with us. He hung out with Zoe, so I could go on a run. I have been feeling really good, and thought I would just go for an easy jog. I will be honest, my body did feel a bit weird. My core felt very loose, I guess is the only word I can think of to explain it. You other mothers out there can probably relate to the feeling. It did feel really good though. I was only able to run up to 28 wks while pregnant, so it had been a while. Running for me is not just exercise, it the best way I can relieve stress, it is very therapeutic, so I was very anxious to get going again.
Tyler made us breakfast later that morning, and then watched Zoe again in the afternoon while I took a nap. We then spent the evening with other great mothers, my mother-in-law Diane, Grandma Bell on Tyler's side, Tyler's aunt Josie, and sister-in-law Emily. My mom and dad were in Phoenix, we had a little celebration for her on Friday before they left.
Sunday Zoe also turned 1 month old, and I can't even believe it! She has already changed so much, and time has just flown by. I can't believe how amazing it is to be a mom, nothing like I ever imaged. I have even more respect for moms now that I am one. It is hard, but the most rewarding thing ever. I truly know the feeling of unconditional love. I have loved watching Tyler turn into a dad. He comes home from work, and all he wants to do is hold and hang out with his girl. I am so lucky and feel so blessed to have this girl in my life, and can't imagine it without her.

I love watching her sleep. She has so many expressions, and noises it just melts my heart! I love that she sleeps just like me, all spread out, and arms up. I love her so much!

Daddy Daughter Date!
Tyler and Zoe had their first night home alone the other night. I had a reception to go to, and then dinner with Shan and Alli before Shan left to Cali again for the summer. I left him with a bottle and all instructions, I was only going to be gone for a few hours so he wouldn't have to do much. Well not too long after I left, she must have known her dad was watching her, because she totally exploded in her pants! Really wanting to test her dad. Of course I have all her clothes organized in size and what not, but Tyler doesn't know this, and I didn't think to leave out a change of clothes. So he went to her closet and grabbed something he thought was cute. This is what he chose. It's about 3 sizes too big, but she still looked cute in it! Tyler is such a good dad, I have loved watching him with her, and he has been so helpful to me. She loves her dad so much, and I am sure they both will be looking forward to their next date!

Cousins!
My sister Danielle had a baby girl, Cambri, 9 days before Zoe was born. This is the first time having the two together, can't wait to see these cuties grow up together. No problems telling who is who!
Zoe is a very sprawly, arms out, legs kicking kinda girl, Cambri is more snuggly, likes being wrapped up!
I had to throw in this pic as well, cause I love it so much, even though Zoe really didn't like the flash!

Zoe Lorraine Finch
Our little angel arrived last Friday, April 8th at 7:40 am. She weighed 7 lbs 4 oz and was 20 in long. Looking at the baby counter she isn't supposed to be here yet, but she was determined and ready. Everything went so smooth and I couldn't have wished for a better pregnancy and delivery. She was so nice to me all throughout, and hopefully she stays that way!
Thursday night Tyler was saying how he didn't want to go to work the next day, and I told him I was going to get him out of it, and sure enough, she came! My family has been joking that the last thing I did before leaving the house is that I made the bed! I know, what in the world!
One of our dogs, Guss, had the vibe too that something was going on. When we went to leave to the hospital around 3:00 am, we found that he had shredded one of his beds in the garage. He used to chew a lot, but hasn't in a long time. When we came home, he didn't run out of the garage like he normally does, he just stayed standing and watching in the back!
She is already such the daddy's girl, and has got Tyler totally whooped! I can't wait for the future and watching this little girl grow up :)
All snug ready to go home!

Baby's Room
We decided since we just moved into a new home, to not do any painting in the baby's room. Instead we found some fun vinyl decals online to put up.
I think they turned out pretty fun, and it will be a lot easier to change things as she gets older.
